Not a normal day here in New York City!
As you can imagine, I am not getting the same volume of support or sales calls that we normally get. It has allowed me to join various tech meetings, forums and training classes. I have been inspired from some of the other dealers in the network around the country. I thought I would share them with you in the spirit of sticking together ans helping our industry survive.
Underlying theme from every speaker- Every business has to try and adapt to these conditions. Not so obvious/Genius ideas are below.
If you are doing takeout and delivery – offer discounts and other promotions. Some are offering Free Cocktails or even Toilet Roll with each order!
Roadies, with Beer, Wine and Liquor with the orders. Some rules have been relaxed so you can now sell this with the take out orders.
Curbside Pickup – Order online and we will bring the products out to you car. Some are doing pay in advance and no cash to minimize exposure.
Turn your business into grocery stores. Offer Flour, Eggs, Olive Oil and other grocery items to the local community. Anything that is in your kitchen. Some stores are selling Toilet Rolls, Hand Sanitizer, Commercial Dish Soap, Preparation Gloves.
For Fine Dining and food that does not travel Taco Kits/Make it yourselves. Ready Dinners for the family to cook or assemble themselves, to increase the average sale.
Please let me know how I can help in any way.
(As you know we are offering 90 days free of Heartland Restaurant to give you an instant online website and app for online ordering/deliveries)
